Property Description
The Best Western Pengethley Manor is an elegant Georgian house set in 15 acres overlooking National Trust parkland. The original house was built in 1544 and parts of the original estate such as the sunken cellars can still be seen today. After an extensive fire, the main house was re-built in 1820. The Best Western Pengethley Manor has been a hotel for over 50 years. All 25 bedrooms are individually furnished, some with four-posters and antique furnishings. The Georgian restaurant and original Library offer an atmospheric ambiance to dine and meet. The a la Carte menus are created from fresh local produce and fine wines from our extensive cellar complement the dining experience. Our own Vineyard produces three white wines served exclusively at the Manor. The hotel is ideally located for the visitor wishing to tour Herefordshire, the Wye Valley and surrounding areas. Whether walking on the Black Mountains or the Malvern Hills or enjoying the elegance of the Spa towns Malvern and Cheltenham or stepping back in history exploring the quintessential British market towns, the area offers a wealth of historic and cultural interest. Our friendly and professional staff is on hand to make your stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible and eager to help you plan your touring itinerary.
