The Grand Bazaar is a great bazaar between Nuri Osmaniye and Beyazid Mosques and Mahmutpa?a Bazaar, consisting of roads with various shops closed with roofs and domes. It covers an area of 47,000 sq. m, still it is not neat in terms of its form. It has hundreds of domes with windows and these domes are covered with lead. First heart of the Grand Bazaar is a building from Byzantine era which is called as Old Bedesten (Covered Bazaar) today.
