Fonab Castle Hotel in Pitlochry is set to take the Scottish Highlands by storm when it opens its doors on 27 May 2013- This luxury-indulgent Castle hotel experience is in the very heart of Scotland-nestled on the banks of Loch Faskally - built originally for the Sandeman dynasty-the sherry and port merchants-the property has been lovingly restored by the Clark family- The hotel has 23 rooms and 4 beautiful Suites-some in the original Castle-some in its tastefully designed modern annex- Most rooms offer spectacular views over Loch Faskally and the Highland scenery beyond- All modern ground floor rooms have French doors leading to a decking area with direct access to the Loch-first floor rooms have balconies- All rooms are furnished with Smart TVs-indulgent hospitality trays and Nespresso coffee machines- Furnishings also include Egyptian cotton bedding from The White Company-luxury bathrobes and slippers for ultimate comfort- Selected rooms feature cosy-turreted viewing points-ideal for relaxing with a good book or taking in the views- High speed WiFi is available throughout the hotel-at a charge in some areas- The interiors of the hotel were designed by mother and daughter team Joanne Clark and Becky Cross-inspired by the natural splendour-romance and the colours of the Perthshire Highlands and reflected in the deep-soothing colours and luscious textures throughout the rooms- Each room has a distinctive feature wall decorated with Cole and Sons wallpaper- Many bespoke items of furniture specially created with the history of Fonab in mind- Fonab Castle bridal suite and signature room is located on the 4th floor of the building-offering unrivalled views over the surrounding highlands and featuring a high-vaulted wooden ceiling and original panelled walls- The centre piece of the room is a top of the range And-So-To-Bed 7 ft Dickens Nickel bed- The room is beautifully decorated in muted velvet creams with Ulf Moritz glass studded wallpaper adorning all walls
