The hotel building is famous for its imperial living taste of the Qing Dynasty with a history of nearly 170 years. The original owner of this large private house was the Grand General Sengge Rinchen/ who invested in building this typical quadrangle courtyard and lived here while he carried out top official duties/ such as defense minister. General Sengge Rinchen played a vital role in the military history in the mid 19th century of China -Qing Dynasty-. In 1853/ he was entitled Prince by Emperor Dao Guang for his magnificent victory against Tai Ping Tian Guo/ which was the greatest peasant uprising in 18th century of China. In 1859/ he defeated the united fleet of U.K and France. General Sengge Rinchen died in battle when his troops were sieged by another large-scale peasant uprising called Nian Jun in 1865. Recorded historically that General Sengge Rinchen was so famous for his valiant/ natural/ and sincere manner. He was regarded as the Great Wall of the country by the Qing court.
