Directions

Strand House is set in stunning countryside, a short walk from the sea and surrounded by a host of attractions. It is ideal for walking, bird watching, cycling, horse riding, sailing and kite surfing. We are close to the preserved medieval town of Rye, Bodiam Castle, Battle Abbey, the Battle of Hastings and Dover Castle and the old town of Hastings with its old beach launched fishing fleet. You can visit a large number of gardens, including Sissinghurst, Scotney Castle, Great Dixter, Plashley Manor, Merriments and Marle Place. There are Nature Reserves at Dungerness and Rye Harbour and many coastal walks. This can be combined with a ride on a steam train at Tenterden and Romney Hythe and Dymchurch and there is great shopping at Tenterden, Tunbridge Wells and Ashford Outlet Centre.
