The home and its lush grounds are imbued with a deep sense of history and, even more important here in Hawaii, a sense of place. The beautiful, seven-room Old Wailuku Inn at Ulupono is listed on the Hawaii Registry of Historic Places. The Hawaii Visitors and Convention Bureau honored it for two consecutive years as the most Hawaiian accommodation in the State, blending a nostalgic ambience while providing the comforts and convenience for the modern-day traveler. In 2000, the Inn was ranked Number 5 on Travel and Leisure magazine Top Ten U.S. Bed and Breakfasts list and in 2004, it received the Historic Hawaii Foundations Historic Preservation Honor Award. The following year, the Inn was the only property in Hawaii on Fodors Choice Hotels, the 2nd annual list of 20 hotels worldwide. And so we say, He hale kou. You are always welcome.
