Arima Onsen/ once called the okuzashiki/ back parlor in Kobe/ is one of the three oldest hot springs in Japan/ along with Dogo and Shirahama. Many historical persons/ including the priests Gyoki Bosatsu/ Ninsai Shonin and Taiko Hideyoshi/ are said to have visited this site. Here/ in the hot spring area/ one can enjoy two types of water--kinsen -gold-/ which includes iron and salt/ and clear/ colorless ginsen -silver-.
